Driven by our vision to create a better future, we are a key contributor to the social and economic development of the North West.

Through our integrated supply chain, we are central to the creation of vibrant neighbourhoods across the region, but our role doesn’t stop there!

As part of the Discover our Purpose campaign, we are shining a spotlight on the work we do to create opportunities and change lives for the communities in which we operate.

We create opportunities for our communities through… the initiatives that our commercial and non-profit companies deliver to support people across the North West.

This year, we are delivering Sovini’s Big Community Christmas, spreading Christmas cheer with a host of festive initiatives expected to support over 40,000 people. From sponsoring Mission Christmas and festive events to supplying those in need with food, care, and toy packages.

As a Gold Covenant Status employer, we work closely with Liverpool Veterans HQ and Veterans in Sefton to help Armed Forces members transition into civilian life. Through our initiatives, we have saved over 100 local veterans from homelessness by rehoming them, have created volunteer placement programmes to help them into employment, and supported health and wellbeing projects.

We change the lives of those living within our communities by… supporting local volunteering and community groups to achieve their goals.

Our registered housing providers help volunteering and community groups change people’s lives across the North West through their Community Development Funds. In 2022/23, we supported over 10,000 beneficiaries and generated £29.6m in social value.

We forge a better future for our communities by… delivering excellent services for our customers and providing good quality, affordable homes across vibrant neighbourhoods.

Across our Morris Meadows, Conway Point and Mountwood Gardens developments, we delivered 256 new affordable homes to local communities, generating £8.9m in social value, £12m in economic value and £230k in environmental value.

We are accelerating action towards our goal of net-zero carbon by creating homes that are fit for the future for our carbon efficiency programme, designed to help customers reduce their energy bills by improving thermal insulation.
