Each colleague plays a vital part in delivering our overall mission of creating opportunities and changing lives. In our mission to create meaningful employment opportunities, we invited Mia to complete a work placement in our Marketing and Communications team.
As a recent graduate, Mia had a keen interest in the world of Marketing and Communications, and joined us for a two-month internship so that she could grow and develop her skills.
Initially, her dedicated mentor met with her to understand her future career aspirations, allowing her placement to be tailored to her needs. With daily catch-ups, her mentor was able to track her progress and provide guidance to support the projects she was working on.
She was assigned a multitude of tasks, varying from social media marketing to internal communications, nurturing her development. Training was also provided on systems used frequently throughout the industry, such as Hootsuite, WordPress and Mailchimp, preparing her for her future.

With support from her mentor to create a CV, complete job applications and prepare for interviews, Mia went on to secure a full-time permanent role as Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator at a fellow Registered Provider of Social Housing. We wish her all the success as she takes the next steps in her career, and are proud to have been a part of her journey.
