We are delighted to launch our ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) report for 2022, which evidences our journey and aspirations as we measure our contribution to society, the economy and environment.
A strong ESG proposition enables our Group to approach initiatives strategically and proactively, working in collaboration with colleagues and customers to make a notable impact , as well as encouraging our supply chain and wider stakeholders to share best practice.
We are proud to have been presented with the Responsible Business (Social Governance) Award by Liverpool Chamber of Commerce at the 2022 Innovation in Business Awards, recognising the positive impact of our organisation within the community.
Report highlights include:
- 174 new employment opportunities created in 2021/22
- £28m investment to develop new affordable properties
- Reduced our carbon footprint by 64% (compared with baseline 2010/11)
- Recycled 100% of the Group’s construction waste, which is 5,200 tonnes!
- Ranked the number one best UK workplace in Europe
- Favouring female colleagues with a gender pay gap analysis of -7.6% in 2021/22
