Verum Victum Healthcare began discussions with the Wirral Borough Council in 2014 to develop a piece of land, which had contained a very dilapidated building and overgrown grounds, into 19 supported living apartments for those adults requiring extra care.

Building began in 2016 with another company and after 75% of the project had been completed the company had to pull out and couldn’t finish works. We had secured a contract with Verum Victum Healthcare for another build, but we were given the opportunity to complete this project for them before starting work on our other Verum Victum project. Works involved remobilising assets, making the building water tight, drainage, communal works, full decoration, floor finishes, external works and commission and installation of lift, fire system and door entry system.

Externally, we had to make sure the building was water tight, put drainage in place, install railings, landscape works and create a car park. Internal repairs included communal areas, finishing trade and plaster works, full decoration, floor finishes, commission and installation of lift, fire system and door entry system.

Our site team carried out detailed quality inspections. The team paid particular attention to details like finishing painting, no sharp edges, garden inspections and all final fix after completion. A final inspection was completed to ensure everything was to the developer’s satisfaction.
