Our Journey

The Sovini Group journey began in 2006 – five years before our inception.

Following the stock transfer from Sefton Council, One Vision Housing, the founding member of The Sovini Group, committed to not only be a great landlord – but the best at everything they undertook.

That legacy ensures that today The Sovini Group is a thriving, diverse organisation, which is having a positive impact on everyone associated with it.

Founded in 2011, the Group now incorporates 12 members, providing property management and development solutions and mutual benefit to all members, customers and stakeholders.

The Group was established in response to the economic climate, the financial issues facing housing associations (RPs) and the shift towards affordable home ownership. It was recognised that to fulfil our ambitions we would need to develop an innovative business model to ensure the RPs within the Group could thrive without dependence on Government subsidy.

What makes us unique is the fact that our commercial members – ranging from a trade suppliers to a scaffolding company – are able to generate profits and trade externally. Profits generated can then be invested in the RPs.

It is a virtuous circle, with the growth of the RPs offering more opportunities for our commercial members through collaborative working.

From suppliers to landlord services, we offer a unique end-to-end supply chain solution.

This is enabling us to deliver an extensive development programme across the North West, creating jobs, homes and a bright future for everyone who works with us in collaborative enterprise.
