The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 was #SkillsForLife and we are proud to create opportunities for local people through our successful apprenticeship programme.
Throughout the week, we celebrated our rising stars and showcased apprenticeship opportunities at The Sovini Group.

The Sovini Group Apprentice Awards 2023
The Sovini Group Apprentice Awards, now in its fifth year, recognises the valuable contribution our apprentices make in striving to create a better future.
The winners, who were presented with their awards during National Apprenticeship Week, are:
- Rising Star Award – Matilda Beckett, Multi Skilled Operative
- Most Improved Apprentice – Michael Marney,
- Above & Beyond Call of Duty Award – Harley Bennett, Gas Apprentice
- Top E learner Award – Owen Kilpatrick, Trainee Painter
- Inspiration Award – Olivia Henderson, Administrative Apprentice
- Best Newcomer – Erin Dempsey, Administrative Apprentice
- Apprentice of the Year Award (Traditional) – Alan Phillips, Apprentice Plasterer
- Apprentice of the Year Award (Professional Qualification) – Chloe Pyke, Learning & Development Assistant

Enterprise Advisors programme
Learning & Development Coordinator, Will McKee and Group Head of Procurement, Ammi Williams shared their experience as Enterprise Advisors for The Careers & Enterprise Company, and the importance of their role in helping shape the futures of local students.
Apprenticeship Showcase
In partnership with Elevate EBP, we delivered a virtual event for year 11 and sixth form students across the Liverpool City Region, showcasing apprenticeship opportunities within the Group.

The Group’s talented Learning & Development Team hosted a series of drop-in sessions for employees and their families who wanted to find out more about all things apprenticeships!
