Local young people experienced Try a Trade through our innovative partnership with Impact Sefton, who provide a personalised and enriching curriculum for pupils aged 11 to 16.
The innovative event provided Sefton’s young people with an insight into a career and pathway into construction.
Sovini Property Services and Amianto Services joined forces to enlighten pupils about the careers available at the Group, their experiences, and professional and educational journeys.
Students were able to gain valuable hands-on experience, through power tool training, electrical circuit training, and asbestos removal equipment demonstrations, whilst being guided by industry professionals. The pupil’s health and safety remained paramount, and thanks to Sovini Trade Supplies, the budding and enthusiastic construction stars of the future, received Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which kitted them out for the task at hand.
Jason Webb, Headteacher at Impact Sefton, said: “Our students embraced all the trades on offer and took on some valuable insights into the world of work. A big thank you to The Sovini Group for visiting”.
In line with our Discover Our Purpose campaign, which aims to showcase how we are providing meaningful employment opportunities and the impact we make across communities, the event provided aspirational pathways for Sefton’s young people.
