For over four years, we have proudly retained the Navajo Charter Mark, recognising our commitment to creating an equal and inclusive environment for our customers and colleagues.
First receiving this mark in 2021, it’s a reflection of our good practices, deep commitment and understanding of the specific needs, issues and barriers faced by the LGBTQIA+ community in Merseyside.
At the Group, we believe in creating equal opportunities for all, no matter their sexuality or gender identity, and this belief shapes the services we deliver.
How does this commitment benefit our service delivery?
Our ongoing partnership with The Navajo Merseyside & Cheshire LGBTIQA+ Charter Mark directly supports us to:
- Make our services truly accessible and welcoming for the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring all customers feel comfortable and confident.
- Ensure our organisation is aware of all legal frameworks that impact service delivery, guaranteeing we always meet our obligations.
- Identify and proactively address any difficulties we may face in meeting the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring we provide the best possible support.
Why are we getting reassessed?
To ensure we always meet the standards the Navajo Charter Mark sets, a review is conducted every two years.
As we have held the mark for four years, it’s time for our reassessment, reaffirming our commitment to continuous improvement.
If successful, this renewed accreditation will be a proud step in our ongoing mission to continue to be an equal, diverse and inclusive provider for our customers, colleagues and communities.
