To mark the success of their latest fundraising cycle, Sovini Charities unveiled a supersized ‘Receipt of Kindness.’ The receipt itemised the incredible momentum built over the past year, proudly displaying the £79,216 raised to support the region’s most vulnerable.

The proud beneficiaries of the 2025/26 fundraising efforts were Woodlands Hospice, Liverpool Zoe’s Place (Little Lights), and Haircuts4Homeless. At a recent celebratory event, representatives from these organisations discussed the profound impact of their work, from fighting the isolation of homelessness to securing the future of dignified end-of-life care.

Across the UK, hospices heavily rely on public generosity to survive. Representatives from Liverpool Zoe’s Place (Little Lights) shared their powerful journey of community resilience. After facing the devastating prospect of closing their doors in 2024, the Liverpool community rallied to raise an unprecedented £7m in just 30 days. While their new hospice is currently breaking ground, continuous corporate support remains the lifeline that keeps these essential services running.

“The best thing about working at Zoe’s Place is the memories and happiness you can create for children and their families,” said Aimee Miller, Senior Fundraiser at Liverpool Zoe’s Place. “It costs £1.8m a year to run our services, and 80% of this relies entirely on charitable giving. Support from companies like The Sovini Group literally helps to keep our doors open.”

Woodlands Hospice, currently the busiest hospice across Merseyside and Cheshire, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The Sovini Group is proud to stand as their first and largest corporate sponsor, directly supporting their mission at a time when the hospice sector is navigating challenging times.

Rob Johnston, CEO of Woodlands Hospice, commented:

“We help people to live for as long as they can and support their quality of life. Thanks to The Sovini Group, our largest corporate sponsor, we can continue our essential work across the communities we so proudly serve, a service which stretches to supporting loved ones following a bereavement.”

Chosen as the Metro Mayor’s Charity of Choice for the Group’s inaugural gala, Haircuts4Homeless has provided over 80,000 haircuts over the last 11 years. With homelessness and rough sleeping continuing to be a critical issue, the charity emphasised that their services offer far more than just a haircut. For many users, it is a rare and vital opportunity for human connection, conversation and dignity. The Sovini Group’s recent donation directly covers 1% of the charity’s total annual operating costs.
