The Sovini Group Raising Aspirations for young people in Liverpool City Region

The Sovini Group is helping to improve the life chances of young people in the region. We are supporting the Positive Footprints ‘Raising Aspirations’ project, developing employability skills and highlighting career opportunities for primary school children across Merseyside.

Raising Aspirations engages children to think about their futures and develop skills which will benefit them in later life.

Pupils at Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary School in Litherland were the latest to benefit from the project, following the successes at Springwell Park and Netherton Moss Primary Schools in Bootle.

Children from Our Lady Queen of Peace recently took part in a careers carousel. Representatives from The Sovini Group, Sovini Property Services, the Jamie Carragher Academy, Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service among the organisations to showcase the opportunities on offer.

Lesley Burrows, Managing Director of Positive Footprints, said: “Raising aspirations and improving life chances for our young people should be high on everyone’s agenda. These pupils are not just our future workforce, they will form our future society, and we believe this programme will set them up to win.”
