Sovini goes for Gold IIP
We are proud to reveal that all our member organisations now boast the Investors In People accreditation (IIP); further demonstrating our commitment to excellent people management and investing in the workforce.
Sovini Corporate surpassed the accreditation’s necessary requirements, securing the Investors in People Gold accreditation; recognising its inspirational leadership and approach to strategic planning that is cascaded throughout the group.
One Vision Housing, well known for its excellence as an employer, retained the IIP Gold standard for the fourth year running, as it continues to stay ahead of the curve in terms of its approach to Health & Wellbeing and embracing a culture of continuous learning and personal growth.
Roy Williams, Sovini Group CEO, said: “We’re extremely proud to be one of the few organisations in the country to have achieved the IIP Gold accreditation. It’s important to us that our staff feel empowered an engaged, which motivates them to make a difference to the people in our communities.
For two of our group’s newer members, Pine Court Housing Association and Sovini Trade Supplies, this is the first year they have been assessed against the IIP Framework, and thanks to the support of our award-winning HR team they have achieved the accreditation the first time around.
David Brown, Director of Operations at Pine Court Housing Association, said: “Until recently we’d never considered applying for this accreditation, but since joining the Sovini Group we’ve become extremely motivated to enhance our people management practices; inspired by the likes of One Vision Housing. This accreditation shows just how far we’ve come.”
Based in Merseyside, the Sovini Group incorporates not-for-profit organisations such as One Vision Housing and Pine Court, as well as and commercial enterprises including Sovini Property Services and Sovini Trade Supplies.
Earlier this year, One Vision Housing was named Best Workplace 2014 by the Great Place to Work organisation, ranked among medium sized businesses across all sectors, including commercial enterprises. And in 2012 and 2013 One Vision Housing became the first organisation to consecutively be ranked Number One in the Sunday Times List of Top 100 Companies to Work For.
